Readers, contributors, and friends,
For the past 15 years, we have sustained this little journal together. But all things come to their end. The Spring 2024 issue of Critical Flame will be our last.
It has been such an honor to serve as editor—as well as publisher, webmaster, funder, cheerleader, social media director, etc. Some of these things I did better than others. (I continue to aplogize for my lousy proofreading skills.) Now it’s time to move on to new endeavors.
I plan to maintain the Critical Flame website in perpetuity. Readers will still be able to read all the brilliant, incisive, important essays and conversations that we have been privileged to publish.
If you write long form criticism or literary nonfiction, I hope you’ll send us work for the final issue.
With gratitude,
Daniel E Pritchard, Editor
